The Guide for Visitors and Locals!

On this site we aim to bring together all tourism and commercial businesses 'under one roof' so that we can create an information site for locals and incorporate a visitor site too, covering the area shown below from Whitby along the coast to Scarborough and Filey then inland covering the North York Moors National Park. The Yorkshire Coast is becoming an increasingly desirable place to live and work and we want to help promote the area and all it has to offer.

We are proud to be a part of 'It's a Coast Thing', an initiative set up by Scarborough Borough Council to promote the North Yorkshire Coast to exisitng and potential residents and investors and 'Heroes Welcome in Scarborough', whose initiative is to give a warm Scarborough welcome and a little quiet acknowledgment to members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces who are doing a difficult job in dangerous circumstances. Supporters of the scheme offer a discount and display the logo to indicate that they are taking part. If you want to be included on their website click the link for more information.

We aren't going for a flashy site, just a simple, easy to navigate place to search or to advertise and be easily found. Whether you have a business connected to tourism, own a retail business or are a self employed tradesperson, advertising on this site is FREE! All we ask for is a small donation to the 'Help for Heroes' charity. Email your business details to us and tell us which category you want to be listed under. Send us a couple of photos too as we are going to be updating our listings with an image for every advertiser. You can also list your events free throughout the year.

Future aims are to produce a hard copy guide to distribute locally to residents and businesses. The website will expand as our listings and categories grow and your involvement in how it looks will be appreciated, whether you are a local or a visitor.
